As Douglas Church seeks to "Share the Gospel" and "Grow the Kingdom", we believe that reaching out to our community and world is vitally important. In every outreach we do and each ministry we support, the congregation of Douglas Church is committed to showing love and care to all of God's children, in turn showing them the truth and life that the gospel message brings.

SUMMER MISSIONS 2024
|
Douglas Church took a mission team down to Lake Charles to minister with FriendShips International. The team of 3 tackled many projects, such as removing and replacing appliances on the ship, pressure washing the ENTIRE deck, and gutting and rewiring the computer control room. The ship will be used for international relief missions in the future.

For the first time, Douglas Church sponsored an evening meal for the kids at MedCamps, located right down the road in Sibley! Our team was able to serve the meal, including ice cream for dessert! The team also helped with dining room and kitchen cleanup.

A team of 4 youth, along with 2 chaperones, served for a morning shift at CCA in Ruston in July. The team unloaded a truck of food donations, labeled food for storage, sorted & hung clothes to be given away, and packed food bags for clients. THANKS to Lily, Bella, Avery, and Jacob for serving!

After VBS, we had some food leftovers, so an energetic group of youth volunteered to make food plates for the emergency fridge at CCA. They made 20 plates of kid-friendly food and delivered them with smiles! THANKS for Caleb, Avery, Eli, Declan, and Jeremy for serving!
